The forms of paper were then used takes place in a computer for data analysis. Online polls and surveys, especially the touch screen provide many advantages over paper-based approach.
4G Technology – The Future of Mobile Internet
4G simply means fourth generation in mobile technologies. It is the common name for IMT (International Mobile Telecommunications) Advanced standards defined by International Telecommunications Union (ITU). What does the standard mean to common man? It means an awesome one Gigabit per second of download speed, while you access the internet, through wireless means! When both the transmitting and receiving station are mobile, the speed is a bit less. When mobile, that is at a speed of at least 60mph, 4G offers you a download speed of 100 Megabits per second. Put more bluntly, 4G allows you to download an HD movie in no more than 30 seconds! ITU-Radiocommunications describes IMT-Advanced (4G) as a next generation network providing fast data access, unified messaging and broadband multimedia.
Now more pertinent questions, there are a lot of technologies offering high speed internet, how would one know if he/she is using this 4G stuff or not? Well, ITU has specified certain technical standards, which should be met by any technology that claims to be 4G. The specifications list the minimum data transfer rate that the proposed 4G network should have. The 4G working group has defined the following as objectives of the 4G wireless communication standard:
-A nominal data rate of 100 Mbit/s while the client physically moves at high speeds relative to the station, and 1 Gbit/s while client and station are in relatively fixed positions as defined by the ITU-R
-A data rate of at least 100 Mbit/s between any two points in the world.
-Flexible channel bandwidth, between 5 and 20 MHz, optionally up to 40 MHz.
The Gradual Evolution Of Mobile Technology
Mobile phones are very familiar even among kids now days. Mobiles are designed in the simplest way to be easily operated even by kids. These devices have reached a high position in global marketing. To reach this peak stage, it might have crossed several stages. Those gradual evolutions are briefly explained in this article in a simple way.
The amazing idea to design a mobile was conceived in the late forties. The very first mobile technology was introduced only in taxis, ambulances, police cars etc. The first cell phones were launched in the market for public use in 1983. Motorola Company gets the credit of very first mobile launcher in the market. Those mobiles have said to be as “1G” or “First Generation” mobiles. These 1G mobiles were designed with analogue technology.
In the mid of 1990s, the second advancement took place in the mobile technology. Certain enhancements were made to overcome the criticisms of 1G mobile and a new designed mobile was marketed. These mobiles are referred to as “2G” mobile phones. These mobile phones had made a remarkable switch over from analogue to digital technology. This 2G technology were equipped with high processing speed. At this stage, the brief cased sized devices were drastically minimized.
